Importing H5 Files
You can import H5 files (*.h5 extension) exported from Xnovo’s GrainMapper3D software from processed TXM files with Dragonfly Pro's H5 reader. The shape, orientation, coordinates, and scalar values of all grains in the sample volume, as well as absorption and diffraction data, are available for import.
Choose File > Import GrainMapper3D Result File (h5) on the menu bar to import a GrainMapper3D file.

Subsequent analysis in Dragonfly Pro lets you correlate absorption and diffraction data to study cracks, defects, or inclusions in the material, as well as analyze grain morphology, orientation, and rotation. Color coding can be chosen according to the selected scalar value.
You can import channels, multi-ROIs, and legends contained in the open data format H5 file. These can be selected in the Select Data to be Imported dialog, shown below.
Select Data to be Imported dialog
Channels… Imports reconstructed absorption tomography data as a 3D dataset, which is usually registered with the TXM reconstruction from the same experiment.
Multi-ROIs… Imports grain maps as multi-ROIs with a full description of the indexed grains and corresponding scalar slots, including GrainID, PhaseID, Eigen values, Rodrigues vectors, and so on. Also imports reconstructed diffraction tomography data as a 3D dataset.
Overlays… Imports legends that show original color mapping.
Items imported from H5 files are available on the Data Properties and Settings panel, as shown below.
